“The InDyne-developed Quality Management System (QMS) Action Request System has been an outstanding success on the KICS Contract at the Kennedy Space Center. It has allowed KICS to implement a standard corrective action methodology across various disciplines, including Quality Assurance, Auditing, Safety Engineering, and general Management. One user-friendly form allows us to not only report and track, but also document actions taken and provides for closed-loop validation of everything from minor quality issues up through management-directed initiatives stemming from customer requests and feedback. The QMS AR System was designed based on the corrective and preventive action principles of ISO-9001, and is used extensively for both internal and external audit findings. The new reporting feature allows us to quickly pull data for various Quality and Safety meetings, focus in on deficiencies and areas of concern, and status the overall health of our Quality and Business Management Systems. The QMS AR System is also highly flexible and open to other uses -- for example, the KICS IT Support branch has now decided to use this system to track and implement configuration change requests.“
